Reader's Memory is the first book in Turkish about WG Sebald, who is considered the first great writer of the 21st century! While discussing the "Sebald phenomenon", Cem Ileri reads the author together with Walter Benjamin. It reveals how Benjamin's Passages, his philosophy of history, his criticism of modernity, and his writing style that oscillates between essay and thought, affect the work of "Benjamin's reader Sebald". Reader's Memory deals with subjects such as history, memory, memory, time, space, trauma, genocide, immigration, accompanied by conceptualizations such as visual subconscious, involuntary memory, photographic reproduction, dialectical image, aura, allegory and shock, also specific to Benjamin. While dealing with it, it turns into a kind of fictional meta-reading in which different reader memories proceed side by side.
