Revolution in the Ottoman Empire and Self-Sacrificing Nation Book Description: In the 19th century, when the Ottoman society met modern politics, "citizens" who wanted to participate in the use of sovereignty emerged. The central government resisted these "conspiratorial" demands of the Ottomans, who had different ethnic, religious, class and social origins, with bans and penalties.
