Şehper, Dehlizdeki Kuş
If there was a sin, I committed it. In the most burning and strange place of my sin, I came across my lover's name and my friend's wish. Won't that give me some forgiveness? Because I remember their faces too, Dear God, and their voices too. They fill in from all the windows of my mind. Şule's hair is shiny and her white hands smell of tangerine enough to make you cry...
Şehper, Kuş in the Cloister is Ayşegül Çelik's second story book, which received an honorable mention at the Notre Dame de Sion Literary Awards in 2009, after being published in 2008. Çelik continued the story language he established in his first book, Fear and His Friend, with these stories written in a language that leans on each other and gets richer as they are written, and proved that he is one of the permanent names of our young storytelling.
