Şerefname 1- Kürt Ulusunun Tarihi - Etnoğrafya ve Coğrafya Girişi
There are those who witness the history of the nations that came to the world stage one after another and are transferred to the distant future through works; Other nations, such as the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, have won our admiration with their advances in art and science, their laws and political institutions. Karim-Khan, the founder of the Zend empire and the leader of the Persian country in the last half of the 18th century, trained many talented historians and men of letters. Among them, the great scholar Ibn-ul-Etzir of Cezire, the famous Abu'l-feda, Prince Ayubid of Hama, known as both a historian and geographer, and finally the Ottoman Sultan II. There is also the elegant historian İdris from Bitlis, who was a contemporary of Bayazıt. This work was written in Persian, the dominant language of that age, in 1596-97 AD by Şerafeddin bin Şemsettin, who also ruled the Principality of Bitlis (Erzurum Province). While it exhibits a general history of the different sultanates and principalities of the Kurdish nation, it also describes the ethnographic geography.
