Simavna Kadısıoğlu Şeyh Bedreddin was a Sufi who lived in the second half of the fourteenth century and the first quarter of the fifteenth century, stood out as a fiqh scholar, and was watched with concern by the administration because he gathered large masses of people around him. Although he was initially against Sufism, he later turned towards Sufism and rose to the rank of sheikh. The most comprehensive information about his life is in the "Sheikh Bedreddin Menakıbname" written by his grandson Hafız Halil.
