
Sleep
The narrative titled Sleep in the short story collection “Elephant Vanishes” by beloved Japanese author Haruki Murakami met with readers in 2015 with the admirable works of German artist Kat Menschik and under the Doğan Kitap label.
In the hard cover and fully coated paper book, Murakami tells the story from the eyes of a woman who has not been able to sleep for 17 days and does not need to sleep. The woman manages to hide her situation from her husband and children; but he spends his nights eating chocolate, drinking brandy, reading Anna Karenina and driving his Honda Civic around the city at night.
