The following is the moral of the story of slowness: "The level of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of memory; the level of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting." There is a secret relationship between slowness and remembering, between speed and forgetting. A person who wants to remember something slows down his walk. On the other hand, a person who is trying to forget a bad event he has just experienced cannot help but speed up his walk.
