Psychoanalysts generally do not write essays; Rather, they write or optimistically contribute to lectures, articles, and book chapters. (...) Essay writing and the literary essay as a form, at least in this psychoanalytic context, is a form of resistance, protest and refusal to comply with certain criteria. (...)
