“We were trying to live with the money we collected on the street, but street music meant more than money to us. Aside from all the troubles and negativities we experience, it is not possible for me to put into writing the joy we get and the good emotions we feel while making music on the street. Street musicianship is not desperation, it is a stance. There is nothing stopping you from communicating with people on the street. The street teaches you to get along with people. (…) There is no art in the life we do not live...”

Sedat Anar's adventure as a musician, which started by playing the cura while working as a shepherd in Urfa-Halfeti, continued in Ankara, where he came as a university student, by playing the darbuka, guitar, and cura in the streets to feed himself, and then switching to the santura... In pursuit of the santur, he went to Iran and learned from his masters. … It extends to “official” concerts, festivals and albums. Today, Sedat Anar is one of the country's respected, master musicians. But he finds pleasure at least as much in concerts as in gatherings of friends, jams and playing on the streets. Because "There is no elite in art," he says: "Art is, in its entirety, an effort to make the world a better place."

Police officers treating the plectrum of the santur as if it were a weapon... The coins spilled in front of them... While Âşık Veysel was singing folk songs with the dulcimer, guitar and bendir, a crazy disabled person stood over them and asked them to play "Ölürüm Türkiyem"... All kinds of people... A warm street and music, as lively and surprising as the street and the music. story.
