The author leaves almost no criticism unanswered, from writers such as Rawls and Dworkin, who are considered to be in the liberal tradition in a broad sense, but who are American liberals, not classical liberals, to communitarians, to supporters of the politics of difference like Young, to those who go beyond the national and advocate international social justice. It is destroying the social democratic consensus as much as socialism, in fact even more. It demonstrates the dilemmas and drawbacks of exaggerated trust in the state as a regulator. Although the book does not directly target anarcho-capitalism, it is possible that some of its theses and statements can be evaluated as criticism or response to the anarcho-capitalist line.
