In the comparative linguistic studies that developed and spread throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, Kurds and the Kurdish language also attracted the attention of researchers. Until the beginning of the 20th century, studies on Kurds and the Kurdish language can be divided into two parts: those conducted by "Westerners" and studies conducted by "Orientals", which included Kurds.

If re-evaluating the valuable studies and documents on the Kurdish language and dialects, which were conducted a century ago, after about a hundred years, and continuing them by sharing them with the relevant academic circles and the public, can contribute to the Kurdish language studies and the "right to education in the Kurdish mother tongue" discussions that have been on the agenda since the early 1900s and continue today, it will have achieved its purpose to some extent.
