Existentialism, Phenomenology, Ontology, subtitled "The Adventure of Contemporary Thought-I", brings together the important texts of names that shaped contemporary thought such as Theodor W. Adorno, Jacques Ranciére, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Jean-Paul Sartre, Jean François Lyotard. The editor of the book, Güçlü Ateşoğlu, expresses his intention as follows: "Existentialism, phenomenology and ontology are three important orientations for thought and action. There are places in the texts in the book where this is obvious, and sometimes the purpose is implicit. When the institutionality of thinking or philosophy is mentioned, it can be eclectic. However, , the institutionality of thinking, the search for a place where philosophy can feel more comfortable, tell us something about the ontological-historical basis of thought. Therefore, while discussing the three basic contemporary philosophical movements, we wanted to include the problematic area that forms the basis for them and brings them together today. " Some of the titles of the book, which was created within the framework of this approach and consists of sixteen texts by important names of contemporary thought, are as follows: Alain Badiou "The Adventure of French Philosophy", Simon Critchley "What is a Philosopher?", Theodor W. Adorno "Husserl and the Problem of Idealism", Hans-Georg Gadamer " Science of the Living World", Alain Badiou "Existence and Death", Herbert Marcuse "Sartre's Existentialism", Tom Rockmore "On Hegel, Husserl and Epistemological Phenomenology", Giorgio Agamben "What is the Contemporary?"
