When he returned to Istanbul, he was appointed as the liaison officer of the embassy ships in Tarabya. After the declaration of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy, he left the military and tried to earn his living by writing; He produced many works in genres such as stories, novels and theatre. She published women's magazines called Mehasin and Süs. Although he was engaged in trade for a while, his last years were spent in financial difficulties. He entered the world of literature with the story "Düşmüş", which he wrote when he was only sixteen years old and sent to Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil to be published in the Hizmet newspaper. Later he wrote in Mektep magazine. He published stories, novels, articles and prose poems in Servet-i Fünun magazine. Mehmet Rauf gained his real fame with his novel Eylül. In Eylül, which is considered the first successful example of the psychological novel in Turkish literature, the love triangle, which is very common in the French novel, is discussed. We will continue to include the works of Mehmet Rauf, the famous writer of the Servet-i Fünun community, who focuses more on individual emotions such as love, suffering, search and passion in his works, in our Turkish Literature Classics Series.
