Katherine Gibson and Julie Graham, both researchers and activists, work together and publish their books under the common name JK Gibson-Graham.

The End of Capitalism (As We Know It) is a groundbreaking work written by the authors, drawing on feminist theory and Marxist political economy, as well as the works of Jacques Derrida and researchers from the French school of regulation, as well as their own research in the field of labor studies. Particularly inspired by recent feminist studies and queer theory, they investigate ways to conceptually destabilize capitalism, shake the foundations of its acceptance as natural and unique, and erode the capitalist system from within.
