Book Description of the Genocide Issue: Studies on the mass murders that have occurred in recent centuries have gained weight regarding the fact that genocide has its own dynamics. Many cases of genocide began with programs of forced deportation and ethnic cleansing that quickly evolved into mass murder. The Genocide Issue, which represents new approaches in historical studies and focuses on the last period of the Ottoman Empire, moves the issue beyond the question of "whether there was genocide or not" and the discussion of denial and acceptance. While the articles in the book emphasize the importance of the population policies of the Ottoman Empire and the ability to identify different segments of society, the context, probabilities and timing in the development of events, they also offer different ideas about the motivation of immigrants from different nations. In this field, which is complex, intricate and in need of new research, we believe that the Genocide Issue will help readers both in providing a solution and in understanding how the genocide that resulted in the destruction of the Armenian people in Anatolia took place.
