The main character of the novel describes the love he experiences in fifteen letters. He questions love, love and passion in these letters. Does passion continue even if the loved one is gone or far away? Can love be experienced one-sided? While searching for answers to these questions, he asks the reader different questions through his letters written in the 1950s, which he found in second-hand booksellers: How can the increase in love, the experience of love, and the permanence of passion occur? Or are these feelings just illusions that people deceive themselves with?
