Cahil Filozof
The great Enlightenment philosopher François-Marie Arouet, whom we know as Voltaire, added his unique mischievous wit to his legacy of skepticism in The Ignorant Philosopher, which he published in 1766, at the age of 72, with the subtitle "Questions of a Man Who Knows Nothing", and became a philosopher centuries after Socrates. Once again, he creates a huge ball of questions from the revelation of "his" ignorance. What makes Voltaire Voltaire is that this ball of yarn, contrary to the expectations it creates, carries optimism and joy instead of pessimism and gloom.
“While I am stuck in a single point in the middle of a vast universe, I, who am not a king but a slave to everything that surrounds me, start by searching for myself.”
