Golagûlê and Zanqırt Villages are just two of the villages that experienced this tragedy. Both of them are villages within Şemrex (Mazıdağı) of Mardin. Zanqırt falls to the east of Şemrex, and Golagûlê falls to the west.

Zanqirt (Bilge) Village, As a result of an internal conflict, temporary village guards killed 44 people in an armed raid on their village on May 4, 2009.

If it were not for the rapid and effective work of other human rights organizations, especially the Diyarbakır Mazlum Der Branch of those days, the story of this massacre would perhaps have been conveyed to the public under a completely different name and title. The story of the collapse of Golagûlê Village stemmed from the fact that he and a neighboring village served as temporary village guards. The year is 1993. The village, which had a population of approximately 1500 people, began to empty out due to the pressure of the Police Station and the Rangers and the resulting life safety gap. Villagers were subjected to forced migration. The village was closed to settlement for 11-12 years. Houses were rendered unusable. No stone left unturned. Vineyards, gardens, everything was plundered. The village, whose name is Golagülé (rose lake) and Arisu, has turned into a desolate village where owls roost...
