The Last Autumn
Sonuncu Autumn is a kind of continuation of Pınar Kür's book called A Murder Novel. Pınar Kür was in search of postmodern expression, form and style in that novel; In this novel, he continues his search even further. In Sonuncu Autumn, there are both the characters in the author's first novel, Tomorrow Tomorrow, and the characters in Bir Murder Novel. Thus, a fifteen-year circle between his first and last novel is closed. We believe that readers will enjoy reading this brilliant example of the "detective" genre, which is rarely seen in our literature. “Unhappiness is not something to be afraid of. Not all the time, but it's also sparkling... It is an emotion that is experienced at peak moments, after extraordinary events, is excessive but eventually consumed, and can even be productive and creative. What's really scary is the restlessness... The dissatisfaction felt at every moment, with everything, perhaps without even realizing it. Seeing your face sullen every time you look in the mirror and not knowing exactly why... (...) Irresponsibility is not consumed, it consumes and has no end. It just never ends. It is present in every detail, every moment of every day. It surrounds life like a membrane that cannot be seen with the naked eye but whose stickiness can be felt. It penetrates into people like the dry frost of winter.”
