Edwin Drood'un Gizemi
The fact that The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which is considered the first "real" detective novel in the classical sense by the authorities, was left unfinished, making the book a real mystery. Over the past century and a half, discussions about the book have continued unabated until today. There are more than 150 of the well-known "continuation" texts written by different authors.
The first one was published in the USA by
TC De Leon in 1870, just after Dickens's death. The last one was published by Ulrike Leonhardt in Germany in 2001. None of these satisfied enthusiasts and critics. What remains is the original work, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which reflects the brilliant genius of Charles Dickens in every sentence.
