The Retreat of Three - The Dark Tower Series Book 2

At the end of the novel The Dark Tower, Roland, the Gunslinger, encountered the Man-at-Arms.

Roland then wakes up on the shores of the West Sea in Middle-earth. He sees three doors, each opening to New York City at different times.

Roland must pull three people through these gates back to his time to reach the Dark Tower.

Door I: The year is 1987. Roland encounters a heroin addict prisoner named Eddie Dean. Eddie is one of those who withdrew.

II. Door: The year is 1964. The Woman of Shadows, black Odetta Holmes, lost her legs in a subway accident. A second woman lives inside her, burning with anger and hatred, and that woman meets Roland.

III. Door: The year is 1977. Jack Mort is a murderer who pushes people to death and commits unimaginable cruelties. And unfortunately, he is the last person Roland suffers.
