William Shakespeare (1564-1616): The legendary writer who has continued to impress readers and audiences all over the world for nearly 400 years with his power of expressing the human condition in his plays and poems. "The Life of Coriolanus" in Plutarch's book Lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans (1579). In the Tragedy of Coriolanus, which he wrote inspired by the episode, he tells the story of the weaknesses and great passions of the great general Coriolanus, who is remembered for his great services to Rome. The play - in a Roman atmosphere - bears the traces of the popular uprising that broke out in England in the early 1600s due to wheat shortage and famine. This tragedy, which was first published in 1623, is estimated to have been written in 1607-1608.
