YKY's 4500th book is by Tomris Uyar. Love Yyranma Payi, compiled and prepared by Handan Inci, one of Tomris Uyar's unforgettable articles in Elele magazine, became Yapı Kredi Publications' 4500th book. With this book, the author's oeuvre was also completed.

In The Attrition Share of Love, Tomris Uyar not only gives sections from the Turkey of 1976-1985, but actually shows that some problems continue in disguise. While he criticizes social, economic and political distortions, he always keeps hope in reserve. In her articles ranging from abortion to raw meatballs and female prisoners, from sexuality to motherhood and women's rights, Tomris Uyar masterfully reflects the woman on the street and the spirit of Turkey.

Tomris Uyar says a lot about those days. On the other hand, there is always Istanbul and daily life in the background. Askin Yipranma Payi is a book that is both enjoyable to read and teaches a lot and raises awareness. When we read, we understand how many reasons we have to read.

When I received the suggestion to write for Elele, I thought I had reached a crossroads as a writer. After all, I was involved in journalism, in a sense. As I stated in one of my articles, I was full of questions: How could I address an anonymous readership without compromising my literary view? Over time, the face of that readership gradually emerged. I wrote my most comfortable articles (not in the sense of easy, of course) for them.
