PKK Üzerine Düşünceler, Özgürlüğün Bedeli
The book 'Thoughts on the PKK, The Price of Freedom' is a work that emerged after İsmail Beşikci got to know many people who were tried in PKK cases during his prison period and learned about the PKK as a result of knowing them. After the breakthrough of August 15, 1984, guerrilla forces created a very broad and comprehensive social and political change in Kurdistan. In connection with this, it deeply shook the traditional Kurdish society and concretely demonstrated that it had destroyed the colonial values in Kurdistan. In this process of upheaval, traditional values disintegrated and modern values began to form. We can easily see this in Serxwebûn magazine's interview with Beşikci. The text of the criticisms against Beşikci and the answers given to them are included in the book. The articles "The Eleventh Year...", "The PKK, the Kurds and the Struggle for Freedom in the Twentieth Year", "The Kurds' March on Rome and Its Meaning", which were not included in the previous edition of the book and were published for the first time in this book, have been added.
Beşikci quotes in his book: “One of the Turkish Interior Ministers said: 'What is waiting for the mountains in the east is not the gendarmerie, but the fear of the gendarmerie. We can summarize that Beşikci's answer to the anecdote "We must use every possible means to make this fear permanent" is to help bring down this wall of fear with his ideas.
