Trakya Güneşi
THE SUN OF THRACE is the first book in the OTTOMAN series consisting of 6 books.
Orhan Gazi, one of the founders of the Ottoman Empire, gave the army command to his son Süleyman Pasha during his reign. The Prince, who passed to the Thracian lands with the conquests he made at a young age, began to be known as the Sun of Thrace. Meanwhile, the throne fights between Palaiologos and Kantakuzinos in Byzantine lands weakened the state. When Constantinople realizes the magnitude of the danger, it tries to get rid of the internal turmoil and make a counter move, but is left helpless because it is surrounded and its area of action is narrowed. Süleyman Pasha, who left no Byzantine castle unconquered in Rumelia, died unfortunately in a hunting accident, so his brother Murad Khan ascended to the throne instead.
All the historical characters in this novel, which tells the story of the transition of the last great empire of world history from Anatolia to Thrace and the Balkans, open the doors of their inner worlds to the reader with Murat Tuncel's words. Thanks to the epic language he masterfully uses, Tuncel sometimes makes a mountain, the sun, clouds speak, and sometimes the fears and hopes of those inside and outside a besieged castle.
"If we can make the stones on this land talk, the world will know us better."
