21. Yüzyıl Feminizmine Doğru
The global crisis is leaving its mark on the 21st century. All political and social movements can survive through significant changes. Feminism is also experiencing a dynamic renewal debate around the realities of the 21st century. Women's struggles began to occupy an important place in many countries, especially India and Egypt.
The book aims to provide an introduction to these discussions. On the one hand, it includes the evaluations and criticisms of today's important feminist thinkers and activists about the feminist movement of the past 30 years, while also shedding light on feminist searches beyond neoliberalism. The emphasis that comes to the fore is that the new era women's movement will rise by taking a stand against sexism, insecurity and reactionism. On the other hand, it evaluates the practices of the women's movement in various countries of the world, as well as in Turkey. It seems that these practices have developed through experiences, especially in line with the main emphasis of the book.
The book compiled by Aynur Özuğurlu includes internationally renowned feminist activists and writers such as Nancy Fraser, Hester Eisenstein, Sue Ferguson, Veronica Schild, as well as names from our country such as Sedef Arat Koç, Handan Koç, Çiğdem Çıdamlı.
