Trace in the Cave
Being squeezed into a tight space was making their breathing difficult. It was unbearable for them to be cut off from the mountain air and suddenly wait in such an airless place. As the night progressed, it became even darker in their eyes. Even though the hardships of war were understandable, the juxtaposition of so many negativities made the environment miserable. Cold, fatigue and hunger were weakening the wounded. The siege, combined with the depth of the cave, caused the wounded to wander in thought. As the dialogue among the wounded lying side by side diminished, they were sinking into their loneliness. The experiences melted in the eyes, and came back to life in their memories frame by frame…
