
Transformation
The tragedy of bodies thrown into the hell of work is depicted in Kafka's Metamorphosis. This is actually a tragedy that happens to all of us: We have to work to survive. It is clear that there is no room for "freedom" in a world where working is a "obligation". The chains of slavery can be heard between the lines of Transformation. A character who is completely devoted to the family institution, suffers from paternal authority, and is mired in debt; The sad story of Gregor Samsa, who found himself transformed into an insect one morning, coincides with the story of the modern individual. In the case of Gregor Samsa, an ordinary character of the capitalist social mechanism, who had to wake up at the same time every day; It is explained how bodies that move depending on the flow of the hour and minute hands struggle to survive:
"My God," said Gregor to himself, "what a tiring profession I have chosen! It is a constant state of travelling. The hassle of this job is much greater than doing one's own work at home, and I also have this travel trouble: worrying about catching the next train connection, irregular and bad food, human relations that are constantly changing and never permanent. Let them all sink to the ground!" As in "Screw them all to the ground", there is also an objection against the world in Gregor Samsa's voice, but it will immediately fade away and even become ridiculous.
