Türkçe Kırmanca Sözlük-Zazaca
The Zazaki/Kirmanji dialect of Kurdish, known under different names (Kîrmanckî-Zazakî-Kirdkî-Dimilkî), has a very short period of written literature (especially after 1980) as opposed to a long period of oral literature. This period can be seen as a controversial period in terms of its characteristics (works). However, it can also be described as a very exciting and creative period. Because it must not be easy to create so many written texts in such a short period of time. Of course, every language has difficult and critical periods. Especially if this language is a banned language, it is inevitable to experience such difficult moments.
Although the language is the language of written literature, it may not need standardization. This is a matter of whether it becomes a national language of need or a state language. Although the Kurmanji and Gorani dialects of the Kurdish language have experienced a long period of written literature, standardization studies have started only a short time ago. This period can be called the last twenty years for the Kirmancha dialect.
A language that is understandable and shareable by its speakers cannot escape standardization. It has to use common forms and gradually standardize. The fact that everyone writes according to their own region, even their residential area, brings about incomprehensibility. As a matter of fact, this is what happens in the Kirmanji dialect. However, a Kirmanchi language study group called the Vate Study Group (Gruba Xebate ya Vateyî) has carried out and continues to carry out significant studies since 1996. He made his meaningful work even more meaningful by directing his meaningful work towards the standardization of the language. Although this situation is admirable, it also has a historical meaning.
