Kapitali Anlamak (Marxın İktisat Teorisi)
In this book, Duncan K. Foley explains in a simple language the economic theory of Marx, whose views have come to the fore again with the recent global economic turmoil, and which cannot go beyond the scope of interest of mostly experts and economists on the subject. By skillfully revealing the complex and challenging qualities of Marx's own economic texts, he explains his economic thought within the framework of a clear, understandable narrative that is especially aimed at learning and teaching. Understanding Capital, which includes all the topics in the three volumes of Capital, is an important introductory book, from the most widely known elements of Marx's economic thought to its most complex and detailed issues.
By making direct references to relevant sections in Marx's works for each of the topics he discusses in a systematic order, Foley also offers a road map for readers who will follow Marx from his own economic texts. In addition, the reading suggestions he prepared for each chapter at the end of the book are especially useful for readers who want to follow the path that Marx's economic thought took after him.
Duncan K. Foley is the Leo Model Professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research. He is also a distinguished member of the Santa Fe Institute, which was established since 2007 to support interdisciplinary research on Complex Systems. Foley has previously worked as a faculty member at important academic institutions such as Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Columbia University and Barnard College.
