Ah Ayetleri-Furuğ Ferruhzad Hakkında Söylenmemiş Sözler

Ah Verses reveals the struggle of Forugh Farrokhzad, one of the important names not only of modern Iranian poetry but also of contemporary world poetry, while creating himself and his poetry, the heavy prices he paid, and the successes he achieved with his courage, rebelliousness and talent.

The book includes interviews for the "Forugh Farrokhzad Trilogy", which consists of three short documentaries shot by Iranian director Nasser Saffarian in 2002. His family, close friends, poets and artists, including Simin Behbahani and Feridun Moshiri, important figures of Iranian poetry, tell us what has not been said about Furuğ. Many surprising details expressed for the first time offer the reader the opportunity to get to know Furuğ, who is interested in cinema and theater as well as poetry, from unknown aspects.

Ah Verses, which we published after the book The Wind Will Carry Us, which includes all his poems, proves the saying "The poet's life is included in the poem".

His whole life turned into poetry. As he says somewhere: “My lover is poetry and my lover is poetry / I am going to find it.” Furuğ sacrificed his whole life for poetry.
