Book Information
Within the concept of 'Nation', which has been applied since the Ottoman Empire, World War I, before and after, are the years when national identities were shaped. Taking a closer look at this period is also of great importance in understanding the Kurdish issue that has survived to the present day. Expressing the injustices that the Kurdish people suffered in return for their sacrifices during the "National Struggle" years, Dr. Sekban felt the need to share this situation with the public very strongly.
Dr. Immediately after the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, Sekban would write a letter to Ankara from Beirut and ask the famous question about what the future of the Kurds in Turkey would be; “What Do Kurds Want from Turks?” The "answer" given, or rather not given, to this question means "Republican parenthesis".
This booklet; Discussing the problem, which was tried to be covered up with force and oppression back then, within the framework of the norms of today's contemporary world, can help open minds that have been manipulated and dulled by weapons.
