
Where the Crow Laughs
Nihan Taştekin is once again in front of the reader with her new work, The Crow Laughs, which bears traces of her previously published books, Kertenkelenin Sleeping and Rain Started. The book has a different plot. The first twelve stories of When the Crow Laughs are independent of each other. The thirteenth and last story brings together the heroes of the previous stories, as if referring to famous detective stories; Taştekin's detective Cem Beyoğlu also appears in this last story. By making use of different types of literature, the author invites his readers to the game he has created. The author has a different language. He is quite successful in reflecting the psychological worlds of his heroes; He knows how to nourish his text with poetry and create a sensitive and original detective work.
