Whispers from Earth
In 1977, two sister spacecraft, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, were sent to the stars. Their mission was to examine the outer Solar system in detail, from Jupiter to Uranus, and to head out into the stars to search for signs of life. After both vehicles completed their mission in the solar system, Voyager 1 began its interstellar journey in August 2012, and Voyager 2 began its interstellar journey in November 2018.
A gold-plated plaque was placed on the body of the Voyager spacecraft by Carl Sagan and his team to warn of possible extraterrestrial life that might encounter them in a distant point of space, in a distant time. Various photographs of our planet and civilization, music and a greeting message in various languages were recorded on each record.
If Voyager encounters intelligent life that can read the record thousands of years later, it will convey to them this greeting that once came from a planet called Earth and from creatures called humans. As long as humanity exists, it will wait for an answer to this greeting.
Whispers from the World is a narrative that explains the content, purpose and preparation stages of this friendly greeting sent from the Earth, that is, from us, to "Them", and conveys the process from the pen of each member of the team.
