On September 15, 1946, the Wild Card virus spread throughout the world, causing many people to mutate. While the “Aces” were endowed with extraordinary abilities, the “Jokers” were cursed with strange mental and physical disabilities. September 15th was now celebrated as Wild Card Day. The celebrations were getting bigger with each passing year.

Wild Card Day in 1986, on the fortieth anniversary of the spread of the virus, promised to be the biggest celebration ever. But the evil and powerful genius Astronomer had other plans for Wild Card Day. Today he would take his revenge on everyone who opposed him.

The Wild Cards legend, which was first published in 1987, is a "mosaic novel" that was created in a certain flow and fiction with the famous writers of the genre, edited by George RR Martin, and the stories of George RR Martin himself.
