Wind of Change
In the years following the First World War, a colorless and poverty-filled life lies ahead of Christine Hoflehner, who finds a job as a clerk in a post office in a village in Austria. However, a letter he receives from his relatives in America pulls him away from his monotonous life. In a world that does not know work and poverty, he is invited to spend a holiday in a luxury hotel. Although she is initially thought to be a noble and wealthy person at the hotel, her real identity is later revealed and the winds of change take Christine and drag her back to her old monotonous, small, poor world, which she can no longer tolerate. However, Ferdinand, whom he meets in this old world, will open up brand new horizons for him. This novel of Stefan Zweig, which was published for the first time in Turkish under the name Wind of Change, was found in his estate after his death.
