With Iran coming under Islamic rule, most of the Zoroastrians changed their religion and entered Islam. Those who do not want to give up their religion are divided into two. Some of them, when they lost hope of Zoroastrianism reigning over Iran again, migrated to India by ships, settled here and took the name Parsí. Those who remained under Muslim rule continued to stay in Iran on the condition of paying the jizya tax. Their grandchildren continue to live in Iran today with a population of around 15 thousand. Depending on the religious minority status given to them by the state, they have the right to be represented in the Iranian Parliament by a member of parliament they choose. They also have many institutions and places such as parliament, armistice, school, wedding and meeting hall, hospital, nursing home, publishing house, newspaper and magazine. This book, translated into Turkish with the name of Zoroastrian Worship and Traditions (Iranian Example), (ez Núrúz), provides important information about the religious, cultural and social structure of today's Iranian society. It is also possible to find information about the history of Zoroastrianism and the past life of Zoroastrians in the book. The fact that the author is a Zoroastrian cleric and has personally participated in many of the practices he describes increases confidence in the accuracy of the information in the book. However, the author also refers to some written sources when necessary.
