"In my psychotherapy profession for many years, I have listened to thousands of stories. The stories I listened to were generally memories full of pain, anger, anxiety, grief, fear and traumatic events; no one goes to therapy to tell cheerful stories. However, in the last few years, I have realized that there is a type of story that I have difficulty understanding." These are the stories of those who harm themselves. Contrary to the natural tendency to escape from pain, they deliberately harm their bodies. What causes violence towards themselves? Suicide is a known phenomenon, but this is not suicide. What do they want? What are they trying to tell us with the scars? If this is an attempt to communicate, can they learn to communicate in a different way? What kind of trauma can be so severe that it leads a person to attack himself? What function does hurting oneself and shedding one's blood serve in one's life? Can we help? In this study, I tried to answer many questions like these."
