Write, Write Again
Tahsin Yücel is a versatile literary figure who is known for his essays and criticisms as well as for his literary works such as Lie and The Last Five Days of the Prophet. The essays and criticisms he wrote aroused wide repercussions in Turkey as well as in the world, and became one of the reference sources for literature educators and students. Although Summer, Write Again, the new edition of which we present, may seem at first glance to be a compilation of twenty independent essays, these are parts of a holistic work. Each of them aims to examine and illuminate a certain aspect of the literary phenomenon. Thus, from the beginning to the end of the book, from its form to its content, from its fiction to its function, from its development to its change, from its author to its reader, from its promotion to its consumption, the literary work and the phenomenon of literature are questioned; Original, consistent, and as holistic as possible answers are provided, bearing the mark of a life devoted to literature.
