Writings of a Sociologist-1 Book Description Understanding and realizing are two very important concepts. Understanding is different from knowing and it cannot be known without understanding. In order to know something, it is necessary to understand it. To understand is to notice and to be sensitive. To understand is to be understanding. Reading with understanding and knowing after understanding means solving and analyzing something. It is possible to understand and know something without understanding it, but it is a kind of relationship and memorization. However, understanding does not mean memorizing. It means knowing the truth of the matter. The person who understands comments and evaluates something. The person who understands understands the event and has deep knowledge. It absorbs and analyzes that information. He writes an essay on that information and analyzes and evaluates that information. Understanding is not knowing, but knowing by understanding means a lot. Knowing without understanding is doing a job that has no value. Reading a book with understanding is the same. Listening to music with understanding and understanding and interpreting a painter's painting are the same. A person who understands can be said to know something to the extent that he understands it. And what he knows is something original. It cannot contain imitations or copies. It is an imitation of rote knowledge. It is not creative. The person who memorizes thinks he knows something, whereas the person who understands thinks he doesn't know anything. Understanding, knowing and memorizing are different things and evoke different meanings. To understand is to objectively grasp the depth and originality of something. Memorizing means establishing relationships between intelligence and information elements and recording existing information. There is nothing more or less than that knowledge. It is a kind of recording information. Memorizing means imitating and copying information. More information means more imitation and more copies. It is similar to an artist copying a work of art.
