The book contains three beautiful stories of Cengiz Aytmatov; In fact, it is of great importance in revealing the relationship between people, space and memory that constantly feed each other. In his story called Soldier's Child, Aytmatov gave the child a vast world of imagination, just like in his other stories with child heroes. In this story of the author, the reader is made to feel the longing of an orphan child for his father so strongly that achieving this in a short story proves Aytmatov's mastery once again. Aytmatov, who describes the pure state of love in the story of White Rain and that the immortal thing is the idea in Yıldırım Sesli Manasçı, transforms the Kyrgyz hero into a Manas narrator with the following words: “In this world, people are born and die. (…) But in the world, human memory defies time. One's own life is as short as the blink of an eye. What is immortal is thought, idea. And these ideas pass from person to person. The immortal is Manas.”
