Yılmaz Güney and His Friends Revolution Problems Book Description On February 6-7, 1983, Yılmaz Güney and a group of revolutionaries around him discussed the basic problems of the Kurdistan-Turkey revolution in a democratic environment for two days in Paris. The book you have is the minutes of that meeting. The revolutionaries attending the meeting agreed on the idea of preparing an organizational platform based on and deepening the political views in the magazines Güney, Patriotic Revolutionary Democrat and Democracy Bayrağı, previously published under the leadership of Yılmaz Güney, and in the brochures published by Ekim Birlik Publications. A Preparatory Committee is formed to tackle this task. The committee then publishes a widely circulated text entitled "A Draft Study on the Duties, Responsibilities and Powers of the Preparatory Committee", describing itself and its functioning. As far as we know, this document comes to light in this book for the first time after thirty-four years. We are publishing the minutes as they are, transcribed from the tape, in spoken language. We removed from the text only those sections containing personal information. We added subheadings to make it easier to read. The report summarizes the theoretical knowledge of Yılmaz Güney and the revolutionaries around him in those years and reveals their determination in the revolutionary fight.
