Considered one of the masterpieces of Kurdish and world literature, Xanî's Mem û Zîn, with its voice echoing throughout time, is the narrative of heroes who reach the secret of truth through love. The eyelashes of lovers, one of whom is the moon and the other the sun, resemble bright stars. Each of them is a pearl and wants to come out of the mother-of-pearl and be "seen". Each of them opens a cell in his chest and puts the lamp of love there and lights it. He talks to the candle, the moth, and the river. He longs for the same coffin. In Mem û Zîn, we “experience” a love based on devotion, which was experienced in the prosperous Cizre, the center of the sultanate. We hear the echoing voice of Memê Alan, which has been described since before Christ.
