Pear Tree
"Başaran came from one of the poorest people in forty thousand villages. He still had the patient silence of people roasted with their own oil. He had sinister, introverted looks, a look that was hard to catch, but suddenly warmed you when caught. It is not easily opened, like the villager's luck, but once it is opened, it opens very well." He would suddenly divorce with the bitterest or sweetest words.
When I met Başaran, he had never seen a bigger city. I don't know if he still counts as having seen it. But the dust of a rebirth... Villager Başaran built a wall on the one hand, and on the other hand, he opened his thoughts to the world. In our first conversation, I found myself in the presence of an alert and active intelligence. He knew where thought and art were in Istanbul and Ankara. Başaran was not one of those who came to poetry after skipping classes. I don't know when he got into this sweet trouble; But in a short time, as soon as he learned German, he passed his apprenticeship period and got rid of irresponsible poetry and smoky literature. Even before he knew the new poets, he sensed the simple word that the new poetry was looking for."
