The Greatness and Limits of Freud's Thought
"In order to change the conditions that lead one to make mistakes, one must first destroy the mistakes that give rise to these conditions."
Freud could also make such a definition. A sentence like Marx's would be a very appropriate slogan for a branch of science that practices treatment using psychoanalysis theory. The most original aspect of Freud, who expanded the concept of reality considerably, is that he reveals that reality is not what is thought or believed by the conscious mind, but rather the facts that are repressed because they do not want to think about them.
The greatness of his discoveries stems from the fact that he shows the method of reaching the real truth, which is hidden and covered up beyond what is thought to be real. The way to heal a person is to understand his spiritual structure and eliminate his repression. Proving this with his experimental studies, Freud applied the principle that truth is the only way to heal and save in his works (that is, in practice). Although it has undergone some distortions in practice and led to new misconceptions, this principle is its most important contribution to human history.
