Alevism is a Path based on confession and consent. In this sense, the foundation and essence of the Alevi belief (teaching) is confession and consent. That is why, first of all, it is necessary to know confession and consent well. What does confession mean? Confession means “to promise, to accept”. Making a confession symbolizes entering the “Path”. Making a confession is “to die before dying!” The Alevi path masters have said that even if death comes to an end, a confession cannot be broken and that no morsel can be eaten without consent and that this Path cannot be walked by acting in a dual manner, turning right or left.
