İhsan Nuri Paşa'nın Anıları
This book brings to light for the first time the memoirs of İhsan Nuri Pasha, who directly witnessed the military, political and social processes of the late Ottoman and early Republican periods and played decisive roles in a very important period of Kurdish history. İhsan Nuri Pasha, who was present on different fronts of World War I, and whose adventures extend from the Balkan Wars to the Ağrı Rebellion, are a path for the modern history of Turkey, Kurdistan and the Middle East.
In his memoirs, the reader will have the opportunity to re-evaluate many important characters of the period, from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to Mele Mustafa Barzani, from Abdurahman Qasimlo to Mustafa Suphi, through the witness of İhsan Nuri, and will also have the opportunity to identify the gains and losses of the Kurds in that era that witnessed great wars.
The memoirs, reports, letters of Ihsan Nuri Pasha and the correspondence between the rebellion headquarters in Mount Ararat and the Hoybun central organization, published for the first time in this book, shed light on a very little-known page of Kurdish history. These reports and correspondence, which will influence the direction of Kurdish historiography, make this book a fundamental resource.
