History of Communication Theories

Communication processes, which are at the intersection of many disciplines, have attracted the attention of many different sciences such as philosophy, history, geography, psychology, sociology, ethnology, economics, political science, biology, cybernetics or cognitive sciences. This study, which is a joint product of academic Armand Mattelart and researcher and essayist Michele Mattelart, emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of communication and information sciences, emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of this field of scientific observation, historically related to physics and material networks, biological and social, nature and culture, technical devices and It tries to reveal the plurality and division within the conflicts between discourse, economy and culture, micro and macro perspectives, village and world, actor and system, individual and society, causality and social determinations. While Mattelarts deal with this plurality and division in the context of universal movements and schools, they mainly focus on the cyclicality of research problems.
