This is a life, my autolife...< /p>

Kavacık is the first step of my teaching career, which started in 1948. I devote my youthful strength to my village and to my summer work; I write poems and stories. On holiday, I travel around Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir and meet writers. They say the flower is in the making; I am, my head is in the sky.

On the other hand, the current administration has turned against the village institute teachers. The police station is after us. We work alone in unemployment. Even though the people hold us back, the winter is harsh, the power of darkness is pressing.

My teaching in Dereköy transferred to higher education at Gazi Education Institute, which we call "University of the Poor". My years are bitter on one side and sweet on the other! I'm trying to double or quadruple my efforts and reach somewhere.
