Our grudge is our religion
Concentrating his studies on the ideological and organizational roots of the Turkish right, Fatih Elder, in this book, discusses in detail a political movement in Turkey whose history is unknown. Going on a historical journey among the insufficiently examined texts of the Turkist fascist ideology, Elder, on the one hand, reveals the origins of this ideology, the elements that add specificity to it and its different aspects, and on the other hand, focuses on how it turned into an organized political movement and what it transferred to the MHP. The last chapter, in which Elder questions the "possibilities of fascism" in Turkey, underlines that Turkist fascism is a living and capable of renewing itself in every conjuncture, rather than being a dead ideology of the past.
This study, which has a say in many areas from the origins of Turkish nationalism in the Ottoman Empire to the relationship between Kemalism and Turkism, from the place of bio-politics in Turkist fascism to the founding position of anti-communism in this ideology, is a reference book for anyone who is curious about the history of the Turkish right.
